On October 19, 2018, family, friends and dignitaries gathered to honor Corwin J. Breeden. A placque was dedicated in his name and the annual Corwin J. Breeden Public Service Award was established. In attendance were Congessman Adriano Espaillat, State Senator Brian Benjamin, Councilman Bill Perkins, Assemblyman Al Taylor, Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez, Public Advocate Tish James and District Leader Keith Lilly. Corwin was a board member of Friends of Public School Harlem and life-long advocate for the community and its residents. He was a great friend of Harlem and will be missed by many. The opening invocation was delivered by Rev. Sheryl Perl Migdol. The keynote speaker was Gerald S. Migdol, Esq.
