DR. HAZEL N. DUKES PLAQUE UNVEILING
On June 30th, Jerry, Sheri and Aaron Migdol from The Migdol Organization hosted a wonderful event honoring the great Dr. Hazel N. Dukes, a pioneer and civil rights activist – a concerned and courageous woman who has been a friend to Harlem and African Americans nationwide. A plaque was unveiled at its permanent Harlem located at 2332 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. There were over 200 people in attendance and she was honored by many elected officials and special guests including all of Harlem’s leaders. What a great privilege it was for us to be able to do this. The plaque reads as follows:

Dr. Hazel N. Dukes, a National icon, is President of the NAACP New York State Conference and a member of the NAACP National Board of Directors, a member of the NAACP Executive Committee and is an active member of various NAACP board sub-committees. Dr. Dukes is a woman of great strength and courage. Her dedication to human rights and equality is exemplified by her role linking business, government and social causes. Dr. Dukes is an active and dynamic leader who is known for her unselfish and devoted track record for improving the quality of life in New York State and across the Country.
